B.M. GALEY, farmer, Browns Valley, was b. in Brown Twp, Montgomery co IN May 1, 1842 and has been a resident of the County all his life. His father came to the County in 1822, a sketch of whom will be found elsewhere. Mr. G. marr. in 1863 Miss Pauline Armstrong, who was b. in Montgomery Co 1843. Three children are: Fisher B; Rose A and Mary E. - kbz

B.M. Galey has been critically ill at the home of his son, Fisher Galey, at Browns Valley, for several weeks. He suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago, with lighter strokes following. - kbz

Benjamin M. Galey died just before midnight on Thursday night of last week at the home of his son, Fisher Galey at Browns Valley. Mr. Galey had been in a critical condition for several weeks, following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were held on Sunday morning at the ME Church in Browns Valley. Interment at Freedom. He was born May 6, 1842 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Galey. In 1864 he married Paulin Armstrong now dead. There are three living children: Fisher Galey of Browns Valley and Mrs. Leslie Carrington and Miss Sallie Galey of Indianapolis. The first wife of Frank Seybold now dead was his daughter. Mr. Galey was again married in 1904 to Lizzie Patton who died five years later. After that event he made his home with Fisher Galey. - kbz
